SLAMTRX is OCULENZ version of Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) which works in combination with the GPS installed in the OCULENZ hardware. SLAMTRX It is software and hardware which senses an unknown environment and recognizes and maps objects and pathways while simultaneously keeping track of a user’s location. SLAMTRX enables accurate mapping where GPS localization is unavailable, such as indoor spaces by using sensor data to simultaneously locate objects for a user in an environment and generate a coherent map of its surroundings. The simplest form of this technology recognizes walls, barriers, obstacles, and floors. This is then used to help an OCULENZ wearer better understand his/her environment and prevent a wearer from falling over a curb, or furniture, or navigate through multiple obstacles. The OCULENZ SLAMTRX technology provides measurement, situational awareness, the creation of SLAMTRX is a key driver behind Ocutrx control of drones and robotics. In other augmented reality applications, the SLAMTRX technology enables the positioning of complex 3D models in tracked scenes ensuring accurate visualization and best positioning from the real to virtual environment.
